• Color-contrast ratios meeting Level AA across body text, headings, and form elements.
• alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked as such.
• Forms with associated labels, error messages, and field-level validation.
• Reduced-motion alternatives for animated elements — our hero animation and ambient effects respect prefers-reduced-motion.
• Patient portal launched in a new window with descriptive link text.

Physical accessibility at the Chantilly lab

• Free, ADA-accessible parking directly outside our entrance.
• Step-free access from the parking lot.
• Wheelchair-accessible collection rooms.
• Staff trained to accommodate clients with mobility, hearing, vision, or cognitive needs.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We periodically audit the site against WCAG, monitor user reports, and improve based on real feedback. Some third-party embeds (such as the Google Maps iframe) may not meet every accessibility standard; we provide alternative descriptions and contact details so no functionality is unreachable.
